With a successful business past working for names like Donald Trump, Micah VanDover felt God lead him away from a thriving career to thrive with Him in ministry.  He switched from a business selling high-end resorts around the world to focusing on an eternal deal: saving souls.  This transition brought Micah to Bali, where he served at and raised support for an orphanage.  Then, God paved the way to Horizon School of Evangelism in San Diego, California in 2009 where he met his wife Alycia.  The school’s weekly outreaches that culminated into mission trips became their lifestyle.  Prior to getting married in 2010, Micah served as a mentor to students at Impact 195, the discipleship school of the Rock Church in San Diego.  There, a desire to reach the lost further kindled and grew into a consuming passion.

After getting married and embarking on new business and ministry endeavors in Hawaii, God undeniably called Micah and Alycia to take a fresh step of faith with Him onto the mission field.  They gave away their possessions, downsized to a few suitcases, and moved with eager hearts to Okinawa, Japan.  Micah and Alycia spent eighteen months living in the Land of the Rising Sun where they evangelized, made disciples, and embraced the opportunity to live out Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Now, based out of San Diego, Micah and Alycia have a refined focus of spreading the Gospel and equipping the saints to do the same through Follow & Fish Ministries.
